3. American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT)
is the professional association for the field of marriage and family therapy. They represent the professional interests of more than 24,000 marriage and family therapists throughout the United States, Canada and abroad. Since its founding in 1942, the AAMFT has been involved with the problems, needs and changing patterns of couples and family relationships.
4. Florida Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (FAMFT)
is the Florida division of the AAMFT (above), and represents the interests of approxiately 1,200 members advocating for the well-being of all Florida families. FAMFT is a division of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
5. American Psychological Association (APA)
Based in Washington, DC, the American Psychological Association (APA) is a scientific and professional organization that represents psychology in the United States. With 150,000 members, APA is the largest association of psychologists worldwide.
6. American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC)
is committed to assisting Christian counselors and the entire "community of care", licensed professionals, pastors, and caring church members. It is our intention to equip clinical, pastoral, and lay caregivers with Biblical truth and psychosocial insights that ministers to hurting persons and helps them move to personal wholeness, interpersonal competence, mental stability, and spiritual maturity.
7. Focus on the Family
The mission of Focus on the Family is to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible by nurturing and defending the God-ordained institution of the family and promoting biblical truths worldwide.
